This beautiful ceramic design, inspired by the land and seascape of Cornish coves, was the winning entry in a competition Rick Stein launched to final year design students at Falmouth University, Cornwall.
Coves from north Cornwall have been hand-painted in watercolour showing the depth and colour variations in the sea. The clean design and form of bone china complements the subtly changing shades of each cove resulting in a unique and highly collectible range of coastal tableware.
Rick's memory of Porthcurno Beach - "Porthcurno seen from the Minack Theatre is one of the most spectacular coastal views in the country. The sand is so fine and white that when the sun is shining it reflects through the water and gives it the purest of blues."
These mugs have a diameter of 8.5cm. They are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe to 200 degrees.
